![]() | There is remarkably little information about this UK "team", on the X-Prize Foundation site, and there is no website. The team leader is Dr. Graham Dorrington of Queen Mary and Westfield College, London, UK. Enquiries are being made as to what the status of Flight Exploration actually is. for now, it looks as though an entry was made, and then abandoned. Those pictures have an old look about them, don't they? I did hear that there had been an arrangement between Peter Diamandis, of the X-Prize Foundation and Dr. Dorrington for a credible-looking "team" to be set up as a token UK entry to the X-Prize, at an early stage in the competition, i.e. without any genuine intention to compete and build. The rocket would be named "Green Arrow" and would be powered by hydrogen peroxide and kerosene, the fuel combination used on British rocket projects of the 1950s and 1960s.
